Revolut RevPoints

Revolut has already been on the market for several years, but now they have launched new benefits, which makes the card pretty good, almost a no brainer.

Revolut has different subscription offers, from free which is called “standard” until ultra, but already on the free level, you can buy lounge vouchers for 35€ (or less – depending of your account) and collect RevPoints which is the latest perk.

Usually with some credit cards, you can collect directly miles like Spuerkees Luxair Visa or AMEX where you can collect Membership Reward points and now there is Revolut RevPoints.

Each level has different value on how many points you get per 1€ spend.
The free level gives you 1 point per 10€ spend and I thought, wow, that’s not much.

  • Revolut Standard (free): 1 RevPoint per 10 Euro
  • Revolut Plus (3,99€/month): 1 RevPoint per 10 Euro
  • Revolut Premium (7,99€/month): 1 RevPoint per 4 Euro
  • Revolut Metal (13,99€/month): 1 RevPoint per 2 Euro
  • Revolut Ultra (50€/month): 1 RevPoint per 1 Euro

BUT there are challenges, where you can collect from 5 points up to 10k points AND the SpareChange.
I am now focusing on this SpareChange, this must be enabled on the free level!
Its pretty simple, you buy something for 10,50€ and you pay with your Revolut card.
You pay the merchant this 10,50€, but Revolut fill up til 11€ and get the difference of 0,50€. This 50cts will be discounted from your account and you will get 25 Revpoints on this charge.
The total Revpoints for this payment is 1 point per 10€ spend + 25 points for the 0,50€ change means 26 RevPoints.

RevPoints are expiring after 3 years and can be transfered 1:1 to Flyling Blue and British Airways Avios and co.

Now, seeing globally, this sounds to good for me, but please prove me the other way as I had already made this purchases and received this points!

And its getting wilder, this was the example of 1x multiplicator for the SpareChange!
This can be increase up to 10x!

I will test this sooner or later, but in theory this means of the above example, that you could earn 225 points for 5€ (0,5€x multiplicator which is 10x).

In fact to receive 1000 Flying Blue points you need to spend 2000€ with American Express card and transfer those as 2:1. With Revpoints and SpareChange you need to spend 22€ to get 1000 RevPoints and transfer 1:1 to Flying Blue.

For British Airways avios its a bit different, you need to spend 1500€ with AMEX to receive 1000 avios as its 3:2. With RevPoints and SpareChange its the same.

These are some examples, Revpoints part needs to be verrified, for the moment, that is just theorie.

This means, if you need to quick collect Flying Blue points or British Airways avios this feature from Revolut is pretty nice.

The transfer of the points to British Airways Executive Clubs is instant, brilliant!
